The Garden and the Gardener was initially a way to overcome a creative block whilst paying tribute to some of Gee’s favourite modernist artists. But, through immersion and transforming her greenhouse into a studio the project became so much more.

This body on work centres on creating abstract compositions that celebrate the produce of the garden and our connection to nature. This project is also about honouring the seasons, our inner cycles, death and re-birth, healing, nourishing, growing and learning. It’s about re-connecting with a sense of child-like wonder.

Gee’s aim with this project is to focus on the process where she plans to turn her greenhouse studio into an ever-changing gallery featuring installations, printmaking and paintings.
